Looks like someone’s taking some lessons from Zuck’s methodology. “Whoops! That highly questionable and suspiciously intentional shit we did was totes an accident! Spilt milk now, I guess! Wuh-huh-heey honk-honk!”
He does embody some of the worst aspects of humanity, so yeah! He’s, at the very least, an excellent example of how not to do stuff…
Unfortunate truth, but entirely inexcusable. I still remember my folks having casual conversations about eugenics at the Christmas table, they only managed to drive me as far away from them as I could possibly go, both physically and ideologically…
White genocide… in Africa… Am I having the dumbest nightmare ever, is this real life? What the fuck is happening?
Well, they’d better fucking stop it, because I’ll have to deal with their shit…
It’s… an uphill battle, to say the least… I’m trying to discuss these things with people within my social group who are undecided or are Right-leaning, and everything is dismissed as “fear-mongering” - even (maybe especially) when presenting actual facts.
Trouble is, our educational system, while dense and robust in terms of information, does not encourage or aid the development of critical thinking. Most people don’t even understand the Hierarchy of Blame and Responsibility (as I call it), nor do they have an adequate understanding of how the economy works, which is why everyone still cheers when someone says “we’ll increase the amount of money in your pockets” while it’s a practical impossibility, or why a lot of people believed that “€35k houses” nonsense Simion spouted.
These are dangerous times, everyone’s feeling it and that feeling is correct. However, most people don’t do the work needed to understand WHY the times are dangerous and wherein the danger actually lays, and so start hanging onto anyone or anything which promises them quick solutions.
Part of me can’t blame them, as our history has never been truly comfortable, not even after the establishment of contemporary Democracy in our country. We, the average citizens, have been played and taken for fools time and time again, it’s hard to trust anyone who seems to want to maintain the Status Quo. On the other hand, I can’t believe how desperately stupid the situation has become…
S’all good, we have the Second Cold War instead. Well, for everyone but Ukraine…
And it still won’t save them… the only way we’ll get through this is by working together.
There was a time when I was certain that this sort of people will inevitably see that money will not save anyone from anything. Given how things are evolving, however, I’ve become convinced that they’ll still be thinking of profit margins as the planet literally starts boiling and their skin starts to melt.
Masses of desperate people have a short memory… Ask me how I know (Romanian)…
Real or not, I still say not calling it “AI Wrangler” is a major miss…
Yep, we’re totally in those times… You do realise our methods and resources have changed immensely, right? It can be done. Your way remains and shall remain unjustifiable.
Yeah, it’s really easy to kill someone when you’re locked up all day in a double-walled room, or when you’re exiled alone on an island… Good thinking…
This is why our society is going down the gutter, because people are still trying to rationalise and justify the unjustifiable…
Again, this is not immediate self-defence, this is something else entirely: this type of situation demands systemic change.
As a Romanian, our Revolution ended the instant the people took back control of this nation and Ceaușescu had no more power (it was obvious, because literally nobody was taking orders from him at that point). Then they shot him. Then they shot his wife. That’s the point when the Revolution just turned into mob murder.
In this case, it is the people’s duty to protect their collective interests, yes, but killing still isn’t justified. You remove them from authority then send them on their merry way to live out their standards alone, far from the rest of us.
Friggin’ children know this already, if someone doesn’t play nice, you stop playing with them. Why the hell are we still debating the ““virtues”” of murder?!
No. Murder is murder. There is no rationalising one’s way around it. There is no acceptable context for killing someone other than immediate self-defence, which is not the case when discussing things in terms of justice systems.
Killing is never justice.
As long as we have the option to separate and isolate, nobody deserves to be killed. The death penalty is nothing more than formalised murder, however one chooses to look at it.
This is one of the few advantages of “obscure” (in this case, Romanian) languages: they’re unpopular enough that scam messages are ridiculously obvious due to their nonsensical grammar and structure.
I’ve received a lot of fake DHL delivery emails, it was hilarious to read how my supposed transaxle is begging me to pay its customs fees.
By the skin of our teeth! We bought ourselves four more years, siblings, let’s make good use of them!
Edit: we even get a bonus, we get to see Simion and Georgescu having public meltdowns now!
